Housesitting for parentals. A whole house (and two cats) all to myself! And a lovely entertaining space and a kitchen and...
Pity that I'm not in a mood to entertain this weekend. I have 14,000 words to write in three days, where one of those days is going to be taken up by my sci-fi group and church.
LOTS of writing this weekend. And the gym at least twice, because I have been lazy while I was sick.
It would be nice to invite someone (or several someones) over for dinner. There are even leftovers from last night! I was going to cook some roast pumpkin soup! Soft-centered chocolate puddings! Cupcakes!
*sigh* Energy, I has none. Or if I use my time on this, I won't have any for writing.
Also, the Kris Longknife series by Mike Shepherd. Stayed up reading last night's book until 1:30am. Still awesome. I cannot rec this series enough to my female-loving sci-fi-fannish friends. She's not as flawed as Esmay Suiza, but she's a great read, a good woman, and an amazing character. HIGHLY recommended.
Now, it seems, I shall have to read Stealing Fire by
jo_graham this weekend. (Oh, the ignominy!!!) Hopefully not all at once because sleep is going to be necessary this weekend...
