quilting, ficathons, crazytiems

So, I spent a chunk of the weekend cutting and sorting for the Supernova Quilt-Along, and am debating the relative wisdom of increasing the quilt 'stars' to 16 blocks instead of 9 blocks. I like large quilts and I think I have the fabric for it, so...now it's just a question of making the adjustments appropriate for the borders.

And, uh, finding the time.

April is going to be One Of Those Months. The Winter Hockey Season has just begun, so I have a game on Sunday (open competition), a game on Monday (veterans' competition), and training on Tuesdays. I also decided that I would attempt Script Frenzy this year, in which I attempt to write 100 pages of script in the 30 days of April.

I have two ficathons due in April - satedan_grabass and the Remix Redux - 1000 word minimums. Then there's the sga_genficathon due in the first week of May. And I've offered to help with the SGA Alternative Guidebook To Fandom being compiled by skieswideopen.

On the quilting front, there's still that Sanctuary Kaleidoscope sucking floorspace in the lounge room, and which I'll need to have laid out and either sewn or sorted out by the time I fly out to Europe on the 6th May...

big bangs and 'summer' sign-up madness

All right. So.

If I were to sign up for the atlantisbigbang challenge this year, what story would you suggest I write given that I have to write 40,000 words pretty much from scratch?

They've got a plotbunny post over at the community, but, well, you know me and my character and pairing choices - they don't run to fandom tastes. So, my request is that you throw an SGA plotbunny at me that you think I'd like to write (and that you'd like to see me write) and we'll see if it sticks.

Plotbunnies of Doom, Plotbunnies Of Awesome, Pre- Present- Post-series epics, Alternate Universes, Fusions, Crossovers...

My current bargain with myself is this: if I can get satedan_grabass written by the 31st, I'll sign up for atlantisbigbang and we'll see where it takes us.
