Got in, met
evil_plotbunny and had a good time looking through the Project Runway shop before being joined by
meekosan for dinner. (Just Applebees.)
*hugs friends*
Checked out some show options on the way home - need to find out just how much USD I have on my ccard (okay, just did; should get me through NYC and out of the country without having to transfer any more).
Now sitting in the bar of the Peninsula NY since my own hotel doesn't have free wifi, and I don't think that my computer can even connect to it (needs a more recent wifi protocol). I had dessert and jasmine tea and it is all good.
I think I can afford a 3-day city tour ticket and one NYC show. Now the only question is: which show?
The Lion King, Wicked, Phantom of the Opera, and Mamma Mia are the popular options; not sure there's much else I know or care to see. If there'd been a Cirque du Soleil in town, then I'd be going to one of those.
Tomorrow is Union Square Markets, the WTC, and Chinatown. And Sunday and Monday will be tour buses, with maybe a show on Sunday night? We'll see how things turn out. I may not get to see everything I want to see in New York - it's a pretty big town!
