Five weeks overseas and I'm finally going home.
I'm sitting in the airport lounge, trying to use up the credit on my Italian sim card by checking tumblr and posting all kinds of stuff and...well, I'd try to download Agents of SHIELD if I thought I could, but I might leave that until I get home. :D
Hoooome. Twenty four hours and three flights away. Firenze -> Zurich. Zurich -> Singapore. Singapore -> Sydney. The next time I sleep (properly), it will be in my own bed!
It's been lovely to get out and away, to sate my wanderlust once more and catch up with so many friends. And it's been wonderful to get to see more of Italy, slower and more enjoyably than the last time I was here. However, if I decide to go travelling with the Parentals again, remind me that I can't stand more than two weeks in close-quarters with them without snapping. Especially over matters like reading maps and where we're going and what we're doing.
I will be glad to get home and even to start work again. To have space and brainspace and kitteh and sistren and food and familiarity! Mm, and I wouldn't mind sleeping in my own bed again. :)
There will be a travellogue, possibly. I need to write some short notes at some point to remember all the stuff I did - one forgets most of it in the end, but the sense of experience remains. :)
