Go and drop her your details here, please?
This is relevant to my interests (and possibly yours), because I like remixing stories...but I really want to remix stories about canon female characters. And the innate sexism of the media we fangirl (where there's usually one female character for an ensemble of male ones), along with our internalised prioritisation of male-centric stories over female-centric ones, means that the chances are always very high that I'll be assigned someone who only writes male characters.
Yes, there are ways to subvert stories so they're no longer all about the male characters and I've used those alternatives ruthlessly when writing remixes. But although the challenge is interesting, a part of me always thinks it would be nice to be assigned to someone who writes stories, plural, about female characters, or stories in which female characters play a major part - to not have to subvert the story.
There's no mention of how canonically female-identifying characters (trans, alien, non-genderbinary) will be dealt with, but if you are interested in this remix and have a fandom with canon female-identifying characters that qualifies, perhaps open a dialogue about it?
