coldest winter in 17 years

And of course I'm spending it in a house with almost no insulation.

My sister and I are discussing how we can better insulate the house (particularly after some people came around talking to us about using filtered air from the roofspace to adjust the heating/cooling the house).

Basically we have roof insulation, but no walls, no floor insulation. No window or door seals.

And everything costs money, of course - in the short term for installation, and in the long-term for energy usage.

Anyway, the long and the short of it is: it's cold, and it's probably not going to change anytime soon.

so friday many ennui

I'm in a generally ugh mood right now.

Winter and injury and fandom doldrums and midlife crisis and general exhaustion.

At least Saturday and Sunday are going to be pretty quiet. For my values of 'quiet'.

I have a Trivia Night on Saturday night (which i might skip if I'm still sporting this lurgy; I'm pretty sure they don't want me coughing all over everyone) and a couple hockey games on Sunday.

I think that's it.

In between all that I'd like to find the time to:

- write at least two NPT treats
- put together a gifset for a 3rd treat
- finish a quilt back
- get a bunch of quilt tops/backs sent off for quilting
- finish a quilt top
- plant more potatoes
- plant more garlic
- watch Agents of SHIELD

I will, however, need some slightly better graphics for the gifset. And possibly a time-turner.

(Honestly, nobody ever accused me of not being ambitious.)
