Right now the idea of just lying in bed all weekend sounds pretty amazing.

But I have garden to prep and plant out - a bunch of carrots, a ridiculous number of tomatoes and tomatillos, some broccoli and cauliflower, and - if I can persuade it to keep growing - a couple of brussel sprouts!

This year's corn was ordinary - non-hybrid, so not as sweet as we're used to. And, I think, it's a tougher type of corn, possibly better for boiling and including in recipes, not so great for corn off the cob. Next year, I might try growing a couple of types, some for eating, some for cooking.

How tired am I? Well, I went for an MRI yesterday afternoon. Drowsed off in the machine and woke up when the attendant said, "And we're done!" Not sure what it will show, if anything; I'm coming to the conclusion that the hand and foot tingling is partially influenced by what's going on with the tooth, and the tooth is...settling. So we'll see how it goes.

I've realised why this RC is taking longer to heal than last time. Last time, the dentist I saw did all the work by hand with little files, and I had to do four trips to get it all done. This time, the dentist used very fine drill files, which worked faster, but which are also harsher where they meet the jaw, which means more healing time, which means achey tooth and jaw for a couple of weeks, not just a week.

I have to finish a program today; anxious micromanager is anxiously microcmanaging. But focusing? Not fun right now. *sigh*

I have three pinch-hitters for the MCU Ladies exchange, so the grand opening will be a week late, but it will happen! I'm so sorry to everyone who got their assignments in and is stuck waiting after the stragglers reneged. The people who've taken up the slack are wonderful and thank you so much for doing so!
