the last night of unemployment

So my time of unemployment comes to an end. 'Twas nice to lay in bed until all hours, to relax and mosey on through the day with little thought for what needs to be done tomorrow, to do quilting and gardening and cooking and writing...

Alas, all things must come to an end, and tomorrow I shall be trying the full commute in to the city - walk to the bus, then train, then walk there and the reverse to get home. It will be dark when I arrive home, and may very well be darkish when I leave in the morning.

I picked up a pinch-hit for fandom5k with, oh, 10 days to write it.

sunspot asked for Steve/Maria and I nearly signed up just for that, and then the request turned up on the PH list and I just decided I'd write for it. I wrote about 3000 words to the next chapter of the MCU fusion into SGA, but then chose to change direction and I'm happier with this one than I was with the SGA fusion! It's complete, but there's the possibility of more. (There's always the possibility of more.)

I've come to realise just how many WIPs I have lying around the place - of the cliffhangery kind. There are really quite a lot of them - and in all honesty they're actually only the merest fraction of stories that I have on my HD.

I've managed to drag Maria's section out for slightly complicated, but she sure didn't make it easy! And now I have to walk the delicate, edged line of Natasha's fear and possessiveness through a political and personal mire. *sigh*

But Bucky should be easy, right? RIGHT? *facepalm*
