summary: Kate didn't think much of it when she was hired to play courier for the Sanctuary. She went where the money was. The Sanctuary, at least, meant relatively easy money. It should have been simple: pick up, drop off, get the cash, forget about it.

Instead she runs late after the day from hell, and they're still around when an Abnormal wanders by. One that causes some memorable and unusual side effects.

Kate is delightfully independent, Ashley's relationship with her mom is precious, and Henry is a gift. A GIFT. The worst part of this is that THERE ISN'T MORE OF IT.

Actually, that's the worst part of both gifts - that they're not longer. The authors have done wonderful jobs of teasing me with a little snippet of what's going on and THE WORLD IS NOT ENOUGH (BUT IT'S SUCH A PERFECT PLACE TO START, MY LOVE).
