Theoretically, one can catch up; the problem is that you then have to keep up. I'm only 1 day behind at this point - a couple of days ago, I was 3 days behind, and Sunday was a complete productivity write-off. (as it seems to have been for most of the known universe - were the stars out of alignment or something?)
Well, no, I wasn't completely unproductive. I mucked around in the garden a bit, trying to get things sorted out, work out what the chickens like (apparently, all the green vegies that I'm trying to keep them from destructochooking as they scratch around the garden).
Oh, and we got our first egg off the chooks. It's teeny tiny! I think it was Honey who laid it, Hainan is still pretty nervy.
And then we got another egg on Sunday afternoon! (But none today...)
Meanwhile, the girls have been getting a great deal of fruit fly larvae. I did at least get 4 jars of jam out of the peaches, although the nectarines were a bit of a loss - only one jar of jam, and the ones that weren't infested were kind of small.
I still have several peaches netted against fruit fly, here's hoping they make it to ripening!
I think the bed where the chickens presently are will go to corn, beans, and squash (the Three Sisters combination). And right now, I'm seriously contemplating growing pumpkins across the front lawn and telling the lawnmowing service to not come around for a few months. It would be a mess of vines, but...pumpkins!

I didn't write for
marvelbang this year, but I did make art for Dizzy Drea's fic Gods & Monsters. (Link goes to the fic, you can jump to my art from there.)
Title: Gods & Monsters
Author: DizzyDrea
Summary: In which (some of) The Avengers are gods, Phil Coulson died (and rose again, much to his consternation), and Tony Stark can't believe his luck (well, actually, he can; he's just trying not to be an asshole about it). Oh, and Steve might be falling in love with a goddess. No lie, it's been a helluva week.
--
Otherwise, the week started pretty awfully: work things coming back because they found new errors in them, but I had them fixed by around lunchtime and am hopeful of the rest of the week. I just have to get through it.
