Common Grace is an Australian movement of Christians seeking to live, speak and act more graciously, more compassionately, more like Jesus in today's world.

They do an Advent series every year (and a Lent series before Easter). This year, the topic is "Fear Not".
Day 1: Down The Humble Path:
What if, instead of fear, we waited?

Instead of forging down the path driven by our attitudes, we can choose the humble path of Christ, who always had time to sit with to those society neglected.

Their reflections are always helpful for me and my faith.

Hello to the newcomers arriving and the oldtimers returning to DW! It's lovely to see things livening up around here.

I usually post a few times a week, although I've been posting less since I've been out of work (October) because I've been doing more things in the garden and around the house and not so much hanging out online. I'll try to post regularly over the coming weeks depending on time and inclination.

Things have changed quite a bit in the last three years because I'm not so into fandom and fannish things these days. This is largely because the canons that I used to follow have not tended to focus or even feature the characters/relationships that I enjoyed, and so with fewer people enthused about those and my inability to latch onto the popular characters and pairings, there's been both less opportunity and less desire to interact.

So if you've come back after a few years of absence, and just started looking at my journal entries, you'll notice it's changed quite a bit - a lot more personal stuff, a lot less fannish things.

I post about everything - personal, emotional, health, political, faith, work, hobbies, random rants, thoughts, and stuff that I want to dump out from my brain. There's occasionally fic, but I haven't seen a movie in a while (I think the last might have been Infinity War!) and so not much commentary on anything. Don't even get me started on the difficult of watching TV series.

I don't generally give access at first, that's something that comes with time and getting to know you in comments and conversations. But, not much gets locked down around here. It mostly depends on how paranoid I'm feeling at the time of posting, but generally, I leave things open and trust people to read it in good faith.

I try to answer comments. Lately I'm not the best at it. If I don't reply, it's not you, it's just me struggling.
