My church did an online service which...wasn't bad. But not a patch on church in person.
This crisis also reveals that many things that people told us mattered, don’t. The exception proves the rule, and this exceptional time has shown some rules are not proven.Right on the money.
Government debt? Budget deficits? Sorry, they don’t matter – and definitely not to the extent some attempted to tell us they did. No one cares right now about the size of a government’s deficit or surplus, they care about the size of the stimulus.
Credit ratings agencies? Sorry, nope. Any agency saying a stimulus package may affect our AAA rating, can just go away – you are irrelevant.
A low Newstart encourages people to work? We need work for the dole? We need mutual obligation? Sorry: wrong, wrong, wrong.

ABC News: Sinophobia Goes Viral
The former Attorney General, George Brandis, was right on one thing: some Australians do believe they have the right to be bigots, and his government and its successors have their backs. The position of the federal government helps explain why the attack on Chinese people — Australians and foreigners — has been so vitriolic, virulent and, yes, viral. There's been report that busloads of Chinese tourists have gone to country towns and are cleaning out the shelves. Oddly, nobody seems to have a photo of these buses, or of the warehouses full of our stuff, or of these Asians taking everything and selling them off. Not one photo!
