Sunday, I spotted an advert for a contract role with the last company I was a permanent at. I dropped a mail to the recruitment contact on Monday, and she asked for me to send her a CV.
I sent the CV Monday, didn't hear anything yesterday.
This morning - just before midday - I get a call from the recruitment contact: they're looking for someone to do a six month contract for work based in Canberra. Start pretty much ASAP - 27th July.
Project manager calls me at 12:30, recruitment calls me back just then. They're sending the contract out this afternoon.
I don't even have to move to Canberra at this point, they'll want me in the office maybe one week out of every two or three, but a lot of it can be done remotely.
...like, I don't even know what to say.
WOW.
