I am feeling down in the dumps again. Mostly weariness, and that persisting 'what have you been doing with your life while other people write novels in a month?' feeling, combined with a faintly grim sense of endlessness.
So I'm going to post some about the garden. For a bit of a cheer-up and a vent.
( chickens and crawly things - TW for insects )
Interestingly, one of the friends who helped me put together the new chookhouse, when I discovered the mites and expressed concern over them, was very casual. "Isn't that just a part of having chickens?"
Apparently not.
( Chookens pretty happy )
Next up: persuading everyone to become one big happy roosting family.
( gardening next phase )
I need to eat more things from the fridge and buy less takeaway. We have a BAJILLION jars of pickles and jams in the fridge, and B1 is super picky about what she will and won't eat. *sigh* I have to start working through those - preferably with a great deal of cheese...which I bought just on Saturday so, guess what? Pickles and cheese and salami is gonna be the meals for tomorrow, which is slated to hit 38C in parts of Sydney.
Better buckle up, Sydney, it's gonna be a stinker...
