Still trying to Do All The Things wrt to this trip.
But yeah, I fucked up the ticket booking when I first did it. So, this is the price being paid now.
Can't rebook the LHR->BOS leg to LHR->YOW without significant fee changes.
Back on the phone with the airline to rebook the LHR->BOS (3rd time lucky?) - the consultant on the phone says she'll try to get hold of the ticketing dept directly. *sigh* But once again, the charges department is calculating the tax difference, which they've done TWICE BEFORE, the guy took down my credit card details (again) and it turned out to be a big fat $0.00.
I wonder if going to Twitter would get any traction? I suspect you have to be Somebody Important With Lots Of Followers in order to be a wheel squeaky enough to get any grease, and that is Not Me.

B1 has taken Coldie to the vet again, concerned about how much weight she's gained. But if she needs daily medication or monitoring again, then we're in trouble. I can't really ask the housesitter to do that - that's not what she signed up for!
I'm almost regretting trying to go on holiday now. Apart from the ticketing issues, I'm anxious about the household, about a world with COVID and trying to avoid catching it. Doesn't help that I haven't been feeling great the last few days - respiratory again, went for a PCR just this morning.
If it comes back clear, I'll go see the local doc again and see if he'll issue any antibiotics I can take along my merry way travelling...
Mind you, the respiratory issues might be the mould - the rains came back in the last week and Sydney is already WAY over the highest annual rainfall for the year...and we still have the better part of three months to go. We had a rain which started banking up the gutters the other day, and so I ended up on the roof in the middle of a storm, scooping out the gutters which are flooded with jacaranda leaves and other debris from the roof...
That was fun. Not.
My stomach is in freefall right now. I should have had something more substantial than coffee and a bit of banana bread this morning. An egg or something to get the protein levels up...
