All the blood. UGH.

I was hoping to go and see D&D:TWH and it's only showing an hour away.

I was hoping to go out to dinner with friends.

I was hoping to go and do some gardening things.

But the blood.

Every half-hour. At the worst of it, every 20 minutes.

PT and period - slightly graphic )

Anyway, it's annoying and uncomfortable and messy - and frankly it's the messy which I most object to.

Tonight, getting the last of the curtains up with the help of my mother. Except that we've lost some of the hooks holding up the curtain rods and ARGH. So the dining room window is still bare. That's not a terrible thing. The curtains themselves have developed threadbare holes. I don't know how or why, but they have, and I'm thinking I might have to do some repairs before they can be settled in.

At any rate. The study floor is waxed and repaired (as much as it's going to manage without doing a complete revarnish of the floor), and the next thing is to move the shelving away from the wall so I can seal up that gap along the outside wall against drafts. I might be able to move that on the weekend with the help of the twins. Just need to get it a foot away from the wall so I can crouch behind it.

Bought some boxes for storing things - nice ones, for my sister to put her files in which could then slot into the cube shelving that we have.

They arrived tonight and they are nice boxes. But the lids are one tenth of an inch too large to fit in the cube shelving! AAAAAAAUUUUGH! And they're MDF-reinforced lids, so really hard to just fix up...

Thought I had someone who was going to take the bookshelf, but it's a bit too long for his ute, and I don't know that the problem solving is going all that well right now. We think the bookshelf might have belonged to the stepdad at some point, and he nailed the backing to the top, bottom, and middle shelves so the backing wouldn't bow in.

The guy is talking about prying it off.

And I am just thinking, "and if you destroy it while prying it off and then refuse to take it" because my brain comes up with these scenarios.

Anyway, I haven't given him the address, we'll see when and whether he asks for it.

Otherwise, I really should get a wash and go to bed.
