My assignment was a ginormous labour of love, trying to include enough of the more popular relationships to get a gist of where they're at, while sketching out enough interactions to validate the less popular relationships. Unfortunately, it was never going to satisfy 95% of the people who clicked on it on account of the tags, and will interest only a fraction of my regular subscribed readership.
That said, I'm happy with the story; it told what I wanted to tell, outlined what I wanted to have happen, and although it took all the way up to the deadline to actually complete, getting it finished was very satisfactory!

In some ways, writing for an original idea is easier since I can frame the ideas as I go, layer things in, and I don't need to "prove" the relationship between the characters in a way that ones does when writing fanfic.

Although I did contemplate a post-Endgame story from tat series, but that would have required reading the series and would be an unfair expectation.
