I got mine a couple of weeks ago, but it got lost amidst other mail and I only opened it the other day.

Hey, sweet, you got it! :) I'm really glad that you liked it. I wasn't sure if you'd be okay with established-relationship or not, but it was the only circumstance under which I could imagine John being comfortable enough to send an honest Valentine.

Established relationship is fine. I can understand where you're coming from - this kind of honesty isn't John until he knows exactly where he stands and is secure in it.
