Pegasus Reloaded: Trying to work out how to segue into the first action sequence.

Pegasus Ascendant: I think that listening to all the voices who wanted something from John's POV might have been a mistake. The story is stuck on his section. We'll see. I might have to revert back to Teyla's POV - I think this story works so much better from a Pegasus POV than an Earth one. That's kinda the point of the story.

SGA bigbang: 22,500 - hoping to hit 25,000 by the end of the night. Surprisingly, I'm having more trouble with Teyla's POV in this story. And Rodney. John and Ronon are the only ones speaking fluidly to me right now. I'm going to have to do something with Rodney, I just can't bring myself to like him very much at this present moment.

More SGA S5 pics out! There's even one of Teyla (non-spoilery). It seems like a damned odd shot to be using for a promo, though - surely there were other shots that might feature a slightly less awkward angle of shoulder and arm?

I was tagged with the book meme by [livejournal.com profile] allisnow:

1. Grab the book closest to you.
2. Open it on page 123.
3. Find the fifth sentence.
4. Copy the next three sentences into your blog.
5. Tag five [or more :D] people.

The book is "The Invisible Ring" by Anne Bishop:

"Let's get you inside," Brock said.

"The horses." Jared's voice sounded thick.

"I'll help Thayne and Randolf with the horses."

Thrilling, eh? If I'd piled the books differently, you would have gotten "Queen Of The Darkness" by Anne Bishop with:

He stopped walking. "Look, this has got to stop. I may not be an Eyrien warrior, but I'm perfectly capable of walking a couple of miles witout collapsing, I can get across a creek without getting wet if i choose to, and I don't need a short furball treating me like I can't survive if I'm not inside a houseful of servants. Do you understand?"

Ladvarian wagged his tail. *Yes. You want to be treated like a Kaeleer male.*

Okay, I'm tagging... [livejournal.com profile] kristen999, [livejournal.com profile] mahoni, [livejournal.com profile] renisanz, [livejournal.com profile] raksha38, and [livejournal.com profile] live_brave. Go forth and book-meme!

regarding Pegasus Ascendant, I would just go with the Pegasus POV. As you mentioned, it is a Pegasus rather than an Earth story. Embrace it. maybe after you write it all, you can go back and do a couple of bits from john's POV, sort of an alternate POV for a scene. Good luck with the writing.

*nods* So just write it from the girl's POV. :)

I'm happy to have you bounce ideas off my head if you want.

In an Anne Bishop mood, are we?

If it helps:

The piece I'm working on is the first real meeting between O'Neil, Sheppard and Team Reloaded and I figured a suggestion about doing a mock war game could come up then.

Posted my book thing! (http://raksha38.livejournal.com/16433.html) I had some long ass sentences!

These are fun. I always like to see what others are reading.

Oh yay. Thanks for posting a link to the Season 5 pics. Ronon is teh hotness in his new duds. :) I wish there were more shots as well, but all these seem to be from the same episode. I hear it's "Daedalus Variations."

And ooh, I got tagged. I have to wait until I'm home, though, to post, 'cause there isn't much reading material at my office. :(

Page 123 dropped me in the middle of chapter 11 of The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe, which I was using for research purposes. Just beside it are HP:GoF and Concise English Handbook, both also for research purposes. Just out of reach under HP is the Black Jewels trilogy, which I devoured large portions of again last weekend, with an added bonus of Jack O'Neill tapping on my shoulder whispering, "You know, you started a story where I was one of those Warlord Prince thingies."

If I didn't have three HP WiPs stalled out, I would be giving Jack the attention he deserves, I think. Then again, I don't know why I'm stalled out on one of them. My co-writer suggested a little clarification, and so I've once again stalled out at 99% complete. *sigh*
