Obviously, my perspective is a little different (for example, I'm mixed, but look vaguely East Asian, and I'm Canadian), but I would disagree that 'banana' is an accurate idea, just because being non-white will change your experience of society. (I feel like that sentence was really long.) I don't think you can really be white on the inside if you aren't white on the outside, because people who aren't white on the outside experience different things from people who are. Even with a completely "white" homelife, people still react differently to you outside that controlled environment, right?
