Ah, 'Heroes.' Being a massive comic book nerd, I was so stoked about this show when it first came out because it looked to be a take off on the unspeakably awesome Rising Stars (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rising_Stars) book. While, sadly, not quite that awesome, I did quite like it.

But the pacing is So. Effing. SLOW. I don't know what's with the trend in TV now where you have to watch at least 6 eps before you feel like anything's actually happened. And unfortunately, with the week long wait between episodes, by the time things move along, I'm already forgetting things that happened weeks ago, but are still vital to what's happening in the current episode. 'Lost' is another major offender. I just couldn't take it anymore and I stopped watching before the end of S1.

Now that the first two seasons are out on DVD, I should have a marathon. I think it will be much more enjoyable that way. I did that with the first three seasons of 'Lost' and found that the show held together way better than I remembered. I actually believe the producers now when they say they really do have the show all planned out.

Also, what is up with the only two main female Heroes being a cheerleader and a stripper? At least in 'Rising Stars' we got Critical Maas pwning Chicago. Whiskey Tango Foxtrot, TV?
