I see what
marag meant by Eureka being light and fluffy...up until the point where it whacks you in the gut. Yeah, that was a big whack in the gut. Enjoyable, but whacky.
And now I'm hunting downloads for S2 Eureka.

But yeah, when they choose to whack you in the gut...
Lots of good stuff in S2 also :)

Although that "Aussie" accent from Taggert? Makes me want to take Jack Carter's baseball bat (I can't call him 'Carter' or 'Jack' right now - it's so many shades of wrong in my brain after SG1) and beat the crap out of: a) the actor for mangling my country's accent, b) whoever thought that putting an 'Australian' into the story would be funny.
I suspect it's my doom not to be able to concentrate on more than one TV series at a time. My brain has only so much space, and up until now, SGA has had it rented all out.
Presently, some of the SGA spaces are packing up into the long-term storage, but a few are still holding on. Some have left small posters behind to remind me that I really need to finish this story - possibly once canon is closed and my blood pressure has come down from the top of the Eiffel Tower.
I kinda hope that Eureka takes my fancy to write, although I'm not feeling that tug at the present moment.

(Honest, I've seen that actor in a bunch of things and I find it difficult to believe he can't do a better Australian accent!)

The accent sounded more on the South African side of things, actually.
