Invited a friend over today, catch up with BSG S3 which neither of us have watched. I always enjoy having someone else to talk with about shows - someone that gets it.

BSG: Torn
- Baltar is always fascinating in his unabashed self-protectionism.
- the error of logic in cylon causality thinking: the cylons not getting that just because A happens and B follows shortly after doesn't mean that A caused be.
- the hybrid is freaky

BSG: Measure of Salvation
- I liked how they used Sharon's cylon-ness and her tendency to phase out when in the presence of cylons
- Cylon torture. Human genocide. It's interesting that while each side decries their likeness to the other: "We're not like you!" And yet the apple never seems to fall too far from the tree. It comes full circle: what the Pegasus did to Gina, the Cylons do to Baltar; what the Cylons tried to do to the Colonies, the Fleet tries to do back to the Cylons.
- yay Helo for making the hard choice and doing the right thing.

BSG: Hero
- that's a heavy burden for Adama to bear: that he caused the Cylon invasion, although I really love Laura's no-nonsense approach to Adama - that the admiralty were loooking for an excuse
- this episode more than the others is making me think I'd like to write BSG fanfic again.

BSG: Unfinished Business
- with the knowledge that I already have about the Chief, the fight between Adama and the Chief takes on new angles.
- Laura and her boxing knowledge and the way she tells Adama how to win. "You're crazy, you know that?" And then gets down to tin tacks.
- I haven't seen past this episode, so I don't know if Adama gets tough on his people.
- I do love the frakked-upness of Kara/Lee - I mean, I don't know if they'd work out, they're both pretty screwed personalities in their own ways; but I do love them whether together or fighting each other.
