eta: because people seem a little confused in their requests - I am not going to write ficlets for your ideas. You give me a framework, and I'm going to hand back what amounts to a plotbunny. Probably something mildly epic.

Carson and Teyla-- how a baby changes everything

Teyla's leading Carson out to a settlement of people who are in need of medical help, and they're talking about their lives - Carson dealing with being dead and a clone, Teyla dealing with having her son and her team.

They reach the village and discover that what the village billed as a minor disease spreading among their people is actually a plague that sickens and kills its adult victims, while children are left physically scarred and mentally impaired by its effects.

Teyla has to manage the people of the village, while Carson effects a cure in while in contact with Atlantis.

...and my EvilBunnyOfDoom just announced that Michael turns up in the middle of it all, is discovered to be the engineer of it, and tries to take Carson back and hold Teyla hostage for her son.

Or something like that.

Trying to have a conversation about a developing relationship isn't easy at the best of times. When the relationship is between two people from different galaxies, the difficulty is exponentially greater.

But when Rodney McKay sits down at John and Teyla's lunch table, it's damn near impossible.

Cue hilarity, double entendre, and Rodney Not Getting It Until Right At The End, Where He Does.
