I agree with much of what you wrote - and add that some of the things that they're carrying over this season from last are the things that frustrated me most last season.

- Maya's dependance on the men in her life - first Alejandro, then Sylar, now Mohinder

- the sheer stupidity of Hiro's innocent simplicity - he never stops to question anything, to think things over. He let the formula out because he was bored - and never stops to question if it was the right thing to do. The only thing more dangerous than intentional evil is unintentional stupidity - and Hiro is showing that in spades.

- Peter's "good is good and bad is bad" line is a bit hard to swallow, too: his repeated belief last season that Adam was good, purely because he helped save Nathan? IDIOCY. Especially when Matt, Hiro, and Nathan all pointed out what was happening. The whole thing with the break-out quartet? They're small-minded thieves and petty crims, nothing more. Small evil. If Peter really wanted to do something about them, he could; but he's too busy waffling.

...let's not even get started on Claire, Niki, or Mohinder's storylines this season.

*sigh*

Once again, a show fails to live up to its potential.
