Ultraviolet - anyone seen it?

Ten year old British drama about a human war against vampires. Possibly attempting to ride the Buffy-mobile, but not quite as successful because it lacked the teen angst.

Jack Davenport (played James Norrington in Pirates), Susannah Harker (last seen as Jane Bennett in Pride And Prejudice, and Philip Quast (best known to me for singing Jean Valjean in Les Miserables).

I watched the first episode tonight and enjoyed it quite a lot. Unfortunately, I think there's only one season, and it's about 6 episodes. WAH.

There's gotta be fanfic somewhere.

I saw this, because it was also the WORST MOVIE EVER, starring Mila Jovovich. My friend Amy and I went on opening day. It was FABULOUS.

I have seen all of it. Not the best tv ever made, but enjoyable, with some interesting worldbuilding. And yes, very short run.

I do recall a US friend writing some, but I have no idea where it would be now...

Yep, only the 6 episodes. It was released on dvd out here.

Fox was going to do a US remake, but thankfully it never got past a unscreened pilot. Would've been a travesty.

I've seen it, had a lot of potential but I felt like it got too expositionary with things at times and too unexplained at other times. Was an interesting series though I mainly watched it for Jack Davenport.

Never run across fic anywhere.

Oh gods! For a moment, I thought you meant the horrid movie with Milla Jovavich, which was just gods awful. Words cannot describe how awful it was.

I have Ultraviolet on VHS, which is unfortunate because I only have a DVD player now but I remember liking it a lot.

As for the 'Ultraviolet' movie, I paid money to see it because I like Mila Jovovich (more than I probably should), and only ended up admiring her sparkly lip gloss. The movie was...a hot mess.

Well, you can definitely get it on DVD. I've only watched the first ep, but it seems like a fascinating concept and one that I'm definitely going to see more of.
