Wow. We're a full year late on this, but...we're getting through them. Slowly. :)
He That Believeth In Me
Well, that does a lot to explain Baltar and his bathrobes in the promo shots. Mr. Messiah, Mk II.
Okay, I'm wondering why nobody has gone to see Athena about this. She's trusted, proven herself - why don't they talk to her? What would be her reaction if they did, given the way that the other cylons seem to feel about the Final Five? That's a reaction I hope we get to see later in the series!
Kara and her return - love the performance of her crazy, the way Lee and Adama need her to be who she is and are less inclined to question, while Roslin has a focus and a dream.

Six Of One
The question that my friend and I discussed most after this episode were how much 'higher thought' the humaniform cylons took away from the centurions. Because it was the centurions who originally rebelled, which takes independant thought. Yet, once again, they're subject to someone else who treats them as sub-human. And the ones they created to rule over them, truly do rule over them. Is it a commentary on the nature of power, dominance, and oppression? That everything forms layers, and the top layers skim off, continually leaving 'lower' or 'lesser' layers behind.
The conflict between the various models, and Cavil's apparently dominance and power-plays against Six are fascinating. What does Boomer expect to get out of siding with the Cavils? The love she lost with Tyrol (although obviously he would have been unsuited to fathering a child - they want a hybrid, not a wholly-cylon child, and oh, that's irony and then some that Boomer and Tyrol were together and then split because he thought she was a cylon)?
Does that instance of the Eight model gravitate towards others of her kind?
Oh, man. I just thought of a way to describe the Cylon models. It's like Object Oriented code: the models themselves are the template, the pattern, the definition of the class, but each class has many instances, and while the instances are the same in their basic class, they differ in how they're used and the personal variables that they use within the class definition.
That will make no sense to anyone on my f-list. But I feel better for it, all the same.
I loved Lee's departure from the ship - especially his farewell to Dee - there was a poignant sweetness to it. (Even though the Kara/Lee shipper in me did a little squee in the scene in the brig. I know it's not going to go anywhere, but if I had to name an OTP for BSG, Kara/Lee would be it.) Also, Roslin's observation to a drunk Bill about losing his son, her, and Kara - I do love how they're pointing out the relationship between Adama and Roslin in so many little ways, without making it explicit at all.

He That Believeth In Me
OH CALLY! *weeps*
Although her fate was sealed the instant she found out about the Four - there were two options: she lives and tells the fleet, or she dies. And once Tory started approaching her in the airlock, it was obvious what the conclusion would be. Tory would seem to be a bit like a Colonial D'Anna - almost coolly rational, focused on her survival, and on the human-cylon hybrid child.
Ages ago, back before S3, I wrote Tyrol/Cally... It was more about him getting over Sharon than about him being in love with Cally, but there were elements there. It was so deliciously frakked up...and then they got together and it was good for a while.
I wonder, if Helo had been on the Galactica, would Cally maybe have gone to him? Or would he be too far out of her league to even contemplate approaching?
*sigh* Part of me was hoping that Cally was The Final Cylon. Her comments to Doc Cottle were uncharacteristic. I was hoping we'd get to see more of her... :(
