WTF for the day: Cornell University fails bigtime. (Warning: may be triggery, is rage-inducing, and seriously terrifying if anyone on the Review Board knew about it.)

My weekend has gone!

S: can haz wikend?
Boss: no can haz. wok. wok now. wok alla da wikend.
S: *sadface*

Therefore, no Supanova convention at Homebush. Maybe Sunday, after hockey, if I finish my work? Or I might go in to the city and see the quilt show. (Honestly, I think I'd rather go see the quilt show... I mean, Eliza Dushku vs. quilting. Tough choice!)

I'm supposed to be going out with my hockey club this evening for drinks. It's also a night on which I have a Sydney Theatre Company show: Oresteia by Aeschylus at 8pm, running 2hrs 40mins. But the drinks are supposed to go all night (they're going hard) so...we'll see. I haven't joined a drinking party at midnight for, oh, over a dozen years. And I dunno - I'm not sure that I'll be welcome because a) they drunk, I sober, b) I have this subpsyche belief that my team-mates don't actually like me.

note: this is not based on any hard fact, other than an innate and unfailing belief in my hindbrain that I am somehow unloveable and nearly everyone I know is just pretending to be my friend until such a time as they can dump me. Forebrain knows this is not the case, but the hindbrain lurks and whispers in my ear: sic gloria transit mundi. Or possibly just you do know you're kidding yourself, right?

The new Office 2007 Word processor has a built in wordcount! I'm trying to work out if this is a good thing or a bad.
