I just watched about 60% of Katy Perry's video 'California Girls', and realised I kind of miss the days of Bananarama. You know? Three songstresses in jeans shorts and leather vests and 80s jewellery surrounded by gyrating males, half-naked and oiled...

You just don't get that anymore!

On the other hand, you do get:

and

Super Mario Brothers played on screen and violin

Oh Bananarama! I miss their early incarnations the most: the distressed waif look in carefully ripped overalls, shirts and workboots.

For the longest time, I thought there were people running around London who looked like that.

Katy Perry, on the other hand, just annoys me.
