I've skipped a whole bunch of interludes for the moment and am jumping straight to the final action sequence.

And I'm in two minds about how to finish this: John/Teyla, John/Teyla with team, or team? I'd classify the story as 'team with john/teyla' but I'm not sure about the ending. I have this real aversion to writing "i love you" scenes and "happily ever afters".

Hmm... tough question. Since I've not read your fic, I can't really give you any advice. I would suggest though, that if you go the J/T route, that it doesn't need to be all lovey-dovey. It would be quiet contentment in line with the team aspect you have in the fic.

I've got about 10K of words before I hit the final scene, so...I guess we'll wait and see a little.

I still feel like I need a twist to the tale, but I don't know what it would be, or how I would go about writing it.

*nods* I can understand the frustration. I'm actually quite worried that the reasoning I'm using for people in mine is too superficial. I created some conflict, but by and large, people are going through with the idea without a problem. I think after all is said & done, I will have to add several small scenes to expand on why people decide to go through with it.

For you fic, you could always have the Ascended behind it all. *g* Really, just joking.
