Sulking a little and she hasn't eaten or drank anything yet, though.

We gave her the medication, put a little food in her bowl, have water stashed all over the house, and are waiting to see how she goes.

Unfortunately, what with the crazy heat (it's still around 32C and it's 10pm), her appetite is going to be down in any case. And the heat is going to continue until next week, when it's predicted to drop to a much more manageable 24C.

If she hasn't eaten anything by tomorrow night, I'll call the vet Thursday.

When I was a kid I came down with hepatitis, received while traveling in Greece or Palestine, but not man1festing until I was back in the States. Being that I date from back in the Stone Age, it was never typed, but was almost certainly Type A, infectious hepatitis, the kind that does not require blood transfusions or sexual contact to catch it. They knew I had it when my Dad took me out to have Thanksgiving dinner with him in a restaurant (I was a kid, so he chose a local diner that had cheeseburgers, fries, and a chocolate milkshake, my ideal dinner at 7) and when the dinner came, I refused to touch it. Then he looked down and saw my yellow eyes. He took me home and handed me over to my mother who took me to the hospital. I was admitted.

I didn't feel much like eating when my liver enzymes were elevated either.

All my sympathies to the poor little confused thing!
