Saturday is going to be insane.

The Script Frenzy Kickoff Party is scheduled to start at 10:30am at Nth Sydney; it goes until 4pm.

At 4pm, I have drinks for a hockey friend who's getting married in a fortnight's time.

And at 7pm, it's a dinner party complete with crazy hats.

And I want to makes The Quangle Wangle's Hat. Just because.

On the top of the Crumpetty Tree
The Quangle Wangle sat,
But his face you could not see,
On account of his Beaver Hat.
For his hat was a hundred and two feet wide,
With ribbons and bibbons on every side
And bells, and buttons, and loops, and lace,
So that nobody ever could see the face
Of the Quangle Wangle Quee.

~ "The Quangle Wangle's Hat" by Edward Lear ~

I'd almost forgotten about this book from my childhood - I rather hope my sister has kept hold of it for her work, and that we haven't thrown it out.

We grew up with The Jumblies, a book of Lear's poetry including the title poem, The Owl and the Pussycat, and one or two others, all illustrated for kids. :)
