So, that was kinda fun.

Good episodes, both in terms of action, drama, tension, and character development.

And this episode is full of the shippy. (And the slashy - Jack touching Teal'c when Teal'c's trying to communicate with him in the teltak? *sniffles* Total d'aww.)

A few episode reactions from Lost City:

It's kinda funny watching this Dr. Weir. Apart from the blondeness and the slightly more breathless pace of things, I keep hearing Torri Higginson in my head or imagining her moving through the room when Jessica Steen is there.

Aw. Jack and Sam on the couch. Except not like that. Just being emotionally stunted and themselves.

LOL Daniel and Teal'c turning up. Are they are team, or are they a team? Yeah, they're a team! It's nice to see all these team-y scenes in LC and NO1 and NO2.
Dear Anubis,
What a horrible waste of underlings. Plus it doesn't exactly attract subordinates who know that everyone fails at least once.

I think Daniel's drunk. Hm. Yes, he's drunk.

Oh, and now Hammond turns up. And sits in Jack's chair and wants a beer!

Ooh, Atlantis music at the end of Lost City!

New Order was equally good. I rather liked the Replicators and humaniform Replicators storyline in SG1. However, rolling it out in SGA yet again was just too much repeat.

Fifth pushes all the creepy stalker buttons, doesn't he? And that final tag is just fantastic. Actually, RepliCarter is probably the main reason I love the humaniform Replicator storyline - Sam Carter's evil twin. Bloody brilliant!

I can't remember if they created something to destroy the attractors between the Replicator units before - the kiron pathways, I believe it was. Did they? Or was the ARG the first incarnation of the disassembling gun?

The ending had a nice tension, although I now see that SGA: Enemy At The Gates was basically Lost City Atlantis-style. It's John instead of Jack, Sam instead of General Hammond, and Atlantis instead of SG1 in the teltak. (Hence the cut: SG1 with the teltak in Antarctica!)

I love that Jack takes the question of whether he should be General to his team. And, once again, Daniel points out that Jack can do pretty much what he wants once he's General - harkening back to WoO. When the most notable order of business was resigning so he could kiss Sam.

Because Jack's first order of business as Brigadier General? A promotion for Sam.

Verdict: very enjoyable and a nice setup for S8.

I've managed to find my USB with all my episodes on, so I'm going to toss it out there:

What should I watch?

Your choices are:
1. Stargate SG1
2. Hawaii 5-0
3. Sanctuary
4. Rizzoli and Isles
5. Fringe
6. Blood Ties
7. Something else which I shall detail in comments.

Choices are based on what I have downloaded in order to watch right now.

ETA: 2 for H50, 2 for R&I, 1 for Fringe, 1 for Blood Ties, 1 for SG1.

Looks like H50 it is.

I'd agree with Beatrice, were it not for the fact that a) due to a massive update clogging my slow dialup (Thanks a bunch, Microsoft!) I'm too late to the party and b) if your fannish glee is in moar Kate Friedlander and not in moar Sam/Jack, I want you to follow your glee and not my desires.
