Because I am *sadface* and cat pictures are good for cheering up.

So, lots of pics of the kittens (my friend's boyfriend kept calling them "the mittens") at play. They're very entertaining, which is why I forgot about sun exposure.

And it was nice to sit out in the sunny, summery weather. *looks pointedly out at the miserable grey cloudiness outside her window*

Tom: "It's a SANDAL! It must be SUBDUED!"

Kitteh's playing in the sun.

This is Tiger. We think she's the runt of the litter, because she's teeny-tiny. Interestingly, though, she was also one of the boldest in the litter. She really liked the little holds in the cement bricks, though - she fit nicely into them!

I think this is Smokey. Sunshine? Check. Comfy brick? Check. Snooze? Check.

Smokey: "Look at this - it MOVES!"
Mal: "Ooh! Do that again!"

Bandit got tired and just laid down for a nap. "Bored now. *naps*"

Tiger takes a nap against my leg. "Don't move, 'kay?"

Smokey: "ZOMG! A GIANT HEAD! BUT I WILL BE STRONG! *WIBBLES*"

Smokey: "THE GIANT DOGGIE HAS GONE BUT I SHALL CONTINUE TO LOOK TERRIFIED!"

Anyway, this is how I got the massive sunburn of DOOM back at the start of December: playing with the kittehs out under the blazing summer sun of Western NSW. Oops.

And a few more of Charlie and Crosbie.

Evil Crosbie is Evil and will look at you with the cat eyes of Evilness!

Just the two of us!

These two really should be called 'He Ain't Heavy (He's My Brother)'.

I kind of feel like I spent all my Christmas spirit on the party on Sunday and have none left for the rest of the week. Home-made presents? Not done. (What do you get guys in their 20-30s? It's a terrible age-group to buy for.) House? A mess. Wardrobe? Not painted. (I'm painting it yellow.

Thinking of reneging on [livejournal.com profile] yuletide, although I have ideas, a plot, and a decent idea of the canon. It just feels like it's not exciting enough. (Mind you, the canon is hardly full of explosions and suchlike - it's a "home narrative".)

*sigh*

If anyone finds my Christmas spirit, please pack it up and send it back to me?
