After being here just on a week, they seem to be settling in nicely.

If there were Olympic categories of sheer cyootness, I think these guys would win hands down!



Smokey finds that Mal is an adequate pillow:

Smokey: My pillow! MINE!


Mal: You again? Okay, whatever. I'm sleeping.

But turnaround is still fair play:

Mal: Hah! My turn!


Smokey: So maybe it's not this much fun after all...
They eat, they sleep, they use the kitteh litter, and generally wrestle each other while pouncing anything that moves or has a trailing edge. I'm trying to train them to sleep in the ensuite at night, with a pillow and towel in the shower cubicle (the ensuite hasn't been used for years) but it's hard going - they whine so piteously, it's really difficult to resist...

We had a brief flea infestation, which we sprayed for and treated, and hope that that's the end of it.

Anyway, that's a rough of the last week in pics. It's been busy on the personal front...and deadly quiet on the job front. I'm thinking I might have to start taking up secretarial work again, although I'll start applying for those after I go talk with a few contracting companies to determine if they have any projects on hand in need of random programmers.

No, I'm still catless, alas. I'm giving myself some time, so that when I close my eyes and picture a new cat in my home, I don't think, "that's not Dinah". :)

It takes a bit of time, I think. Space to grieve and get used to the idea of someone new is not a bad thing.
