There was cold air creeping in under the door last night and I'm wearing a jacket when I go outside. Don't go, Summer. Don't go.

Well, we hardly had summer here in Sydney at all. About a week or so of the temperature hitting 30 is not summer by my standards!

I feel cheated. :(

Now, now! You remember the conversation we had last winter (mine, not yours) about the loveliness of snow, where you kept pointing out that you were having lovely sun and surf and waves and feeling smug? You really wouldn't like winter here.

You may not have had a proper summer, but we really haven't had a proper winter. I've only been out on my skis four times this year, and I bought snow shoes at the end of last winter to fit my youngest this winter, and she's only gotten two days of use out of them all winter. And today there was definite spring in the air.

Still, I do sympathize with the feeling of the period of fine weather drawing in, and the season of raw weather coming. We get that too.
