So...I seem to have (finally) managed to land myself a job.

Pretty much they're happy to hire me, they just have to do the reference checks, and then they'll make me a formal offer...with a base salary that's about one quarter more than I was offered at my last job!

*does a happy dance*

It seems like a good company - it's specific to my area, so they know the ins and outs of the work, they actually have "on the bench time" where people are encouraged to develop themselves and work on a kind of 'personal interest' project, it seems like a good corporate culture, and the people I've spoken to have been positive and encouraging.

*breathes*

I just have to provide references. Which I'm in the process of doing now. Except I can't get hold of one of the guys I was going to use as a reference check... Here's hoping he just left his phone off. And isn't having a family crisis or something.

But: OMG JOB!
