Very chewy morning reading for me, and I want to read it again, but I liked where the author was going with it. A lot of what he said could easily be applied to part of American history.

It is very chewy, and, I think, a good perspective.

And yeah, I think Australia is looking at many of the same issues as America has in the past (and is in the future), so it will be interesting to see where things go for both countries, trying to work this idea of cultural distinction vs. cultural assimilation into our societies.
