Just saw DKR. Very good. Not as much fun as Avengers, but deeper, more complicated, very based in human nature and human fallibility. A lot more grey areas, a lot more questions.

Okay, so, even knowing about Talia al Ghul and her relationship with Bruce Wayne I DID NOT TWIG.

Holy cow was that a nice surprise! This is the kind of movie I like: where I can't predict the twists and turns - and oh I liked that one.

The rest of it was predictable, but also a wonderful study of the darker side of human nature. Beautifully done.

Joseph Gordon-Levitt still doesn't look old enough to drive, but his acting in this movie was perfection. So was Tom Bane's. And Anne Hathaway. And Marion Cotillon. And, hell, everyone in the whole goddamn cast. Freaking AMAZING performances all around.

The ending was good - powerful images, powerful emotional punch. And the juxtaposition of those final scenes: Alfred at a cafe in Paris seeing Bruce and Selina, and Blake discovering the Batcave and taking up the mantle of the Bat.

The friend I went to see it with commented afterwards that she really liked how they basically set Blake up to be Robin without actually saying it right until the end of the movie. Nicely done.

The Nolan Batman Trilogy may be very dark, but I find it very powerful.

I doubt I'll write fanfic for it (while I do like Talia and Selina, they're both a little too cunning/sly for my tastes - see my love for stoic action girls) but it's definitely on the 'thoughtful rewatch' list. Eventually.

In short, I'd watch Nolan's Batman trilogy for the deep shivers, but I'd watch the Avengers (and related movies) for the silly happy. And the Lines Of Joss.

Here endeth the review.

Now, Tony, if you'll just finish off the last 700 words of your section, then we can get on to Pepper's POV. Otherwise I might have to write the mornings after fic.
