um, well, I'm not complaining exactly...

The project team I'm on has been working on this system for the last six months on the Development servers, moving them up to the Test servers where necessary. This week, the client's tech guys refreshed the Test servers and are testing the process of moving the Dev changes we made back into the Test servers in prep for when we go to Prod.

It's called "Dress Rehearsal".

We have lists of things we're supposed to do, to time, so we know how long it'll take when we "go live". I had a list of things to do with a separate system to the main one, but which interacts with the main one.

Only, as we discovered this morning, the separate system isn't being refreshed after all. So...my list of things to do for Dress Rehearsal is invalid.

Which kind of leaves me twiddling my thumbs. Or finishing stories.

Which is a good thing, certainly, just...a little unnerving. And I feel slightly guilty because the others still have a lot of stuff to do, and I only had a small list...and now I don't even have that.

I might see if I can work from home in the afternoon, sort of take time in lieu given that I'll be working sporadically next weekend to get all this stuff in...
