*glees*

Feedback, glorious feedback! So few people do more than leave kudos on AO3 - which is certainly better than leaving nothing at all - but it's so nice to hear what people liked about my stories - the specifics, the in-jokes, the subtleties. ([livejournal.com profile] grav_ity? I really really really appreciated you commenting on all the chapters of ACFoaQC with what you liked about each chapter. So nice to hear back about all the little nitty gritty details! I don't know if you struggled to think of something, or if you just went blurty-qwerty, but either way, it was such a reassurance that I hadn't screwed up the story for at least one person!)

And then every now and then, you get someone who COMMENTS.

The multi-paragraph detailed comment? I love it. I don't even mind if they ramble. A long detailed ramble from someone about why they enjoyed my fic will make my day (even if someone else casually unmakes it later).

And I love answering them. I love conversations. I know that AO3 isn't supposed to be used like that, but the number of people I met and friended on LJ, simply through the Power Of The Comment (none of whom I would have met through the power of the kudos) is one of the things that I kind of miss about LJ, now that fandom has split and shifted to DreamWidth and stories are generally posted on AO3.

I shall think on how to respond to this comment. I'm trying to respond to the AO3s now - and particularly the long ones.

tl;dr: big and detailed story feedback arrives, there is much rejoicing.

I'm so glad, because you are a very good writer, and you deserve this. You've moved on from my fandom, so I'm not there to comment myself, but I'm glad others are.
