If you ever really get the urge to see a thanksgiving, my sister has a giant expat thanksgiving dinner every year in a city sort of near you. She is making turducken this year! :D
Hey, it is pretty close as far as cities go. Unless you live on the east coast of the US, I guess. Cities are closer there. I mean, she barracks for a footy team everybody hates and knows what time of day arvo falls into. That's pretty close!
In all seriousness, she really does have a giant all ages, all nationalities Thanksgiving dinner on the Saturday after American Thanksgiving every year. This year she is making a turkey, a turducken (in the U.S., everyone knows what these are, but you get excited when you meet someone who's actually eaten one), two turkey breasts, and a terrifying number of additional sides and entrees. I don't even want to know how many she's expecting to show up to eat all that food.

I'm guessing turducken is not usually on the menu for your family's Thanksgiving?
