A summary of the ep, in less than fifty words:

Atlantis lines up before the Stargate in little black dresses around a snake-oil salesman, swaying along adoringly as he sings out-of-key while Shep tries to find the 'off' switch.

Lighthearted, silly, frivolous, and quite enjoyable. Probably more so than Duet, although I have a soft spot for Laura Cadman.

Plus, I really, really loved the look Rodney gave Teyla in the last scene. Of course, that's probably just me. *sporfles*

Nope, I liked that one too. ;) Didn't care as much for the kinda creepy leering that Shep was doing to Weir, but that's another story.

I was ready to blow up the TV before the episode was half over. Funny and mildly entertaining, but I thought it was too thin a premise to drag on for an entire episode.

I guess it would have fit better if there was a scene with just the two of them, another one-on-one conference. Still funny and lighthearted, but it was weird for me when he said that in front of the rest of the team. I'm actually kinda surprised that more people aren't excited/upset by that bit -- it was a very interesting choice of words and actions on Shep's part.

I think if it had been anyone else in Elizabeth's office, Shep wouldn't have ribbed her quite so much, but considering everyone in there had made a fool of themselves over Lucius, I think he was just reveling in the opportunity to rub it in a little. Obnoxious as all get out, but something I'd probably do to someone I knew really well.

I sat there thinking, "Ooooh, crackfic! Yay for the crackfic!"

although I have a soft spot for Laura Cadman.

Who doesn't?

I rewatched that scene this morning and giggled again. It's a very pointed look. Heh.

Yeah...that was crackerific good fun!

I killed myself laughing at the look Rodney gave Teyla...and I think she understood it and was amused as well. Poor Rodney!!!

While Atlantis was fairly amusing in parts this week, SG-1 with it's Atlantis Crossover "The Pegasus Project" totally rocked for once. It was SO much better than SGA. Almost like a return to the good old days of S6.

I have to agree Sue. I looked at my watch at what felt like the half way point for the episode, and it was only 20 minutes in! (Including ads) There were some amusing moments, but it was just a bit too much. I guess they were concentrating on the SG1 crossover ep, and needed a "close to home" episode for Atlantis with no location shooting.

I have to agree, SG-1 going to Atlantis and seeing Daniel kick ass and figure out in 10 minutes or less that they had a real Ancient in there was AWESOME than SGA's Irresistible..I'm dissapointed..and I wasn't impressed..I laughed a bit, yeah! but hubby didn't even blink! it was a 20 minute episode at best....

that last line for Weir was a bit out there..but the fact that he did it in public just means that it was nothing more than a funny remark made by him...Elizabeth has played with John...like in Misbegotten...OH, defending my honor?...so if you build that kind of relationship with a man, they will take it the next step...but you are so right...it was crossing some lines...and it's not something that I'd like to see between them because it can be sort of rude as well...but this is just a show....a bad on the writers and poor use of words..but again, this is where the part of the men writing and not woman come into play....

But I didn't see John lingering over Weir, on the contrary I thought he waited too long..but then again, it wouldn't have lasted an hour...but you are so right, that last piece of Rodney looking back at Teyla, made it all the worth while of an hour! PRICELESS......and I love how he did it to Teyla and I was surprise that it wasn't to Weir...loved it!

Agreed, Rob. They needed a stronger B plot or something to flesh out an entire episode with this.
