Did my f-list suddenly get madcrazybusy? Or have I just not been checking it for a few days? *shakes head*
I have watched NCIS: Shabbat Shalom and Shiva and have an idea for a .gif and quote if I could only knew how to do it.
I am still only up to Elementary 1.09 (the one with the BDSM professor).
Writing is...not happening. Plotting is. Crackerrific AUs by the bundle - new ones, not the existing crackerrific AUs, either. And I seem to have a problem actually finishing series/multipart fics right now. I have all the notes lined up for And Baby Makes Eight but it's just not writing itself. (Why isn't it writing itself, dammit?)
The new computer is still causing trouble - I can't seem to get it connected to the network - Windows 8 seems to have taken all the simple things about connection and thrown it out the window. I don't know if it's another attempt by Microstuft to dumbify things for ye average user, but I would not be surprised. It used to take me 30 seconds to correct an issue with the wireless network. Right now, we're looking at four hours and counting, because the way they say to do it doesn't actually work. No, really, it doesn't. *grr*
Anyway. Once it's connected, it'll be fine. I have a fix that basically turns the Metro desktop into the more traditional desktop, but I'm still a bit grumpy that I have to do it in the first place.
And I may need to buy a new, fully-functional copy of MS Office. My MS Office 2000 installation disc doesn't seem to install on Windows 8. (Oddly enough.) But I got 12 years of use out of it! (Not bad for $250!) I dread to think how much a new MS Office installation will cost.
