I'll be in New York City the weekend of the Australia Federal Election, dammit.
Which means I either have to do a postal vote or get me to a polling booth somewhere in NYC which is where I'll be that weekend.
I did it in London a couple of years ago (2007, I think?) - got me to the embassy and everything, but that was rather simpler, IIRC.
Maybe I'll just put in the 'absence' form and not vote. I'm not happy about KRudd, but I'm even less happy about Abbott. But I have a vote and I really would prefer to use it than not (even if my electorate is blue-ribbon conservative).
