Sold the unit for 60% more than I bought it for ten years ago. It will cover the mortgage I owe, and then some. Contracts to be exchanged tomorrow. That's one more thing off my plate, anyway!

At this point, I'm trying to focus on the wipbigbang. 8K to get past the post, and probably about 8K to finish this story. I just gotta find the rhythm.

AS to the rarewomen, that ... sounds like the time I got an assignment in a ficathon for someone who specified that she liked strong female characters ... but didn't actually request any female characters ...

Oh, no, it's not like that. It's just that (I think I can say this here, I don't think she comes to DW) this person and I keep getting matched to each other because we like the same characters and I'm unmatchable...

Well, that's better than the time I got repeatedly matched to a person I shared nothing in common with for Remix (can't remember whether it was the main remix or the Gateverse remix). She only slashed Jack/Daniel, most of her stuff was porn, I write neither slash nor porn.

Remixes can be really iffy that way - one has to find someone who writes at least one story that you'd like to remix. Which was my difficulty with Avengers Remix. My remixee writes Steve Rogers, but mostly slash, and no Maria Hill. My remixer writes mostly Steve/Tony slash and somehow got assigned to me.

There's got to be a better matching rubric for remixes.
