Does anyone know how to get their LJ friends' feed back to the old format? I can limit the number of entries to 20, but they're floating in sea of screen with no anchoring and I really really don't like it.

Incidentally, this is not the post to wax eloquent about how you don't use LJ anymore, you only use DW and how awesome it is and how everything is the bestest evah. NOT. THE. POST. NOR. THE. DAY. EVER.

I keep using LJ because I still have friends there, I have history and comms there, and I like replying as myself on LJ. I'm not going to cut them off just because they don't want to come to DW, m'kay?

If anyone knows a way to regain the old LJ friends' feed format, I would appreciate that.

Apparently there's a link at the top of your Friends page allowing you to switch between the new and old versions. You have to have the Navigation Bar turned on in order to see it. ;)

Oh, I see. How about these link instead?

http://news.livejournal.com/146701.html (it seems like the link http://tielan.livejournal.com/friends shows your current Friends page style, while http://tielan.livejournal.com/feed will show the new redesigned Friends feed style)

http://layout-lounge.livejournal.com/45427.html (it seems to explain how to switch entirely to the old LJ style)

Well, now I'm confused. @_@
As for myself I've switched back to the old version as soon as the new one came out (fond of changes, I am not). As I was searching links for you I found out that should I now want to go back to the new one it seems that I'd have to open a Support request and ask to have the new design turned on... *shakes head*

Oh, I see. That's good news then.
Though personally I don't care much for IE, I find that as an alternative to Firefox (which I love and is my default browser) I prefer Google Chrome. ;)

Whenever I try to go to /friends/ on your page, it automatically redirects to /feed/ if I'm not logged in.

I can get it when I *am* logged in though. Right this very minute I am looking at your old style f-list at http://tielan.livejournal.com/friends/ !!

*crosses finger for you*

The new layout really is horrible.

If I view http://rmc28.livejournal.com/friends/ I get old-style.

If I view http://rmc28.livejournal.com/feed/ I get new-style and an option to "use it by default, click here". (nope, not clicking that).

I seem to remember having a time where I visited and got a new-style friends page, and got a link where I could opt out. What happens if you go to /friends/ vs /feed/ ?

Ooh, on http://rmc28.livejournal.com/feed/, top right, there is a set of three symbols: question mark, envelope and magnifying glass. If I click question mark, I see a load of bumf about "new Livejournal" but with a clickable link at the bottom that says

Switch back to old version

Does that work for you?

The friends vs. feed thing should work. Mine still shows my style and not that horrid feed :(
You shouldn't have to add ?style=mine at the end, but can't hurt to try?

Only other things I can think to check that haven't been mentioned:
Do you have a custom layout?
Do you have a paid account or permanent account?

IDK, you might need a ticket because you're supposed to be able to see your flist in your own style

This may not be helpful but I use the http://copracat.livejournal.com/friends/ I don't have a paid account and I've never had to click anything to keep that. I do know that they had to roll back the feed thing which was at first for everyone, and give the feed/friends option.

Could it be something as annoyingly simple as closing and re-opening your browser?

So frustrating. I hope you find an answer.
