NOTES: Written for ladyscribe as a crossovering Pinch Hit. I wanted it to be bigger - leading up to the point where the Unification War is declared, and showing a few more tie-ins with the Firefly 'verse, but, yeah, it was a PH and I had all kinds of work stuff going on in the week it was due, so it got truncated. (And, I think, kind of cheated by that truncation. Maybe someday I'll go back and make it better.)
