Train commute

Looks like I'm all out of computer juice this morning, which means I'm going to sit here on the hour long commute to today's customer and ramble on journal.

I did a lot of rewriting on the weekend writing retreat, which wasn't my intention. I was hoping to get to the end of the scene, but had to rejig everything in my head around the opening scene which had to show Maria's state of mind and body before we threw everything into flux.

Curious question of other writers: when writing MCU fanfic, do you make up the technology as you go, or do you look for something in canon that fits your bill? I'm having a little trouble with the devices they're using right now.

Ditto medical definitions/terms.

I know I'm going to have to technobabble and medibabble, but I've gotten shit before from someone for not having "right" terminology, and even when I pointed out that it was extended canon, she was snippy. So I try to avoid most of the time.

Argh. I'm really pissed off by my computer now. (And by my stupidity in not recharging it.) I had plans for this commute!

Maybe I should just think about breakfast instead? I wonder if there's a café with a power point I can plug into...
