I arrive late Wednesday night, and it will take me at least 2 hours to get into the country via immigration/customs. I won't be in a headspace suitable for meeting with anyone on Wednesday.
However, I'm hoping to meet up with people over the next days. And these are the things I'm interested in:
The Richard H. Driehaus Gallery of Stained Glass at Navy Pier
The field museum (natural history)
And maybe the geek bar one night? Thursday would probably be best since Friday and Saturday would be busy.
There was something originally planned for Sunday, but the person organising it has had a family situation crop up and it will take all her energies to deal with that.
I'm not sure how much mobility I'll have since my host family have their own lives and will be busy with them. I'll be staying out in Ashburn, near-ish to Chicago Midway, I think that's on the South West Service line?
Thoughts? I know that Chicago's public transport system isn't a patch on London's so it's going to be very dependent on whether I can a) travel to places, b) get a lift one way or the other.
